About the Blast
Blast is an Ethereum L2 with native yield: ETH and stable balances earn yield automatically inside the chain itself, and gas is reimbursed through Blast Points and Blast Gold incentive programs. It runs the standard EVM instruction set, so the same addresses, ABI encoding, and Keccak-256 tooling you use on Ethereum mainnet work unchanged.
This page curates Formatho tools configured for Blast (chain ID 81457): read and verify smart contracts before you interact with them, check token approvals that swap routers request, convert between wei and ETH for gas math, and decode calldata to see exactly what a swap or bridge transaction will do — all client-side, no wallet connection, nothing signed.
How to use
- Paste any Blast contract address into the Contract Reader with the Blast RPC to inspect tokens, routers, and pools.
- Before approving a token swap, decode the router calldata with the ABI Encoder to see the exact path and amounts.
- Use the EVM Unit Converter for gas and output-amount math in wei.
- Generate or checksum addresses — identical on Blast and every EVM chain.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do token swaps work on Blast? ▾
Token swaps on Blast run through the same AMM model as Ethereum: you approve a router contract to spend your token, then call a swap function that executes against liquidity pools. Blast uses ETH for gas (auto rebasing to stETH yield) and USDB as the yield-bearing dollar. Because it is fully EVM-compatible, the same UniswapV2/V3-style router interfaces and ABI encoding apply — you can decode any Blast swap calldata with the tools on this page before signing.
What is the Blast chain ID and RPC? ▾
Blast mainnet is chain ID 81457 with the public RPC https://rpc.blast.io. Testnet (Blaster) is chain ID 168587773. Wallets and tooling that accept custom EVM networks connect with these values.
Is swapping tokens on Blast safe? ▾
The chain itself inherits EVM security semantics, but the risks live in the contracts: unlimited approvals, malicious or fee-on-transfer tokens, and counterfeit versions of bridged assets. Before swapping, verify the token contract address with a contract reader, check what the router is asking you to approve, and prefer per-swap exact amounts over unlimited approvals. Never sign transactions for addresses you have not verified.
Why do these Blast tools never ask for my wallet? ▾
Every tool here is read-only and client-side: contract reads are plain eth_call requests that cannot move funds, and everything else (ABI encoding, calldata decoding, unit conversion) is local math in your browser. There is nothing to connect and nothing that can sign — which makes the tools safe to use while you research a swap.
