Deadline: 18 February 2027. Battery passports become mandatory for EV, LMT, and industrial batteries above 2kWh under Regulation (EU) 2023/1542. The data carrier (QR code) must link to a resolver serving this structured data.
The data points above are derived from Annex XIII of the Battery Regulation. Approximately 20% are dynamic (State of Health, usage history) — these require a live BMS connection, not just a static document. The ~80% static fields are what you can prepare now.
Use our ESPR Passport builder to structure the data, and the GS1 Digital Link builder for the QR data carrier. Your checklist data stays in this browser.
About the Battery Passport Checklist
The EU Battery Regulation requires a passport from 18 Feb 2027 for EV, LMT, and industrial batteries. Annex XIII defines 46-49 data points by type covering identification, chemistry, carbon, supply chain, and end of life. This checklist makes them trackable with export.
How to use
- Pick battery type, check off fields, export the gap report.
