About the Pii Redactor

Sending logs, support tickets, or prompts to an LLM or a vendor means sending whatever personal data is inside them. PII Redactor scans text for emails, phone numbers, credit cards, SSNs, API keys, and IBANs — and replaces them before the text goes anywhere.

Detection runs on a battery of pattern matchers with optional custom rules, and the diff view shows exactly what will be redacted before you commit. Especially before pasting into any AI service: strip first, then send. All processing is local.

How to use

  1. Paste the text you are about to share.
  2. Review detected PII in the highlighted diff.
  3. Copy the redacted version instead of the original.
