What is a DPP?

The EU Digital Product Passport is a structured data record for a physical product: identification, composition, sustainability metrics, circularity info and supply-chain data, carried via a QR/data-matrix code under the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (EU) 2024/1781. Batteries get the first mandatory passport (Regulation 2023/1542, from February 2027); textiles and other categories follow via delegated acts.

Exporters to the EU will need this data even before the legal deadlines: large retailers already request it in supplier onboarding. This playground turns the regulation into a concrete checklist for your actual product.

About the Dpp Playground

The EU Digital Product Passport is coming: Regulation 2024/1781 requires physical products sold in the EU to carry a structured data record — identification, composition, sustainability parameters — accessible through a data carrier (expected QR code). The first delegated acts target batteries (mandatory from 18 February 2027 for EV, LMT, and >2kWh industrial) and textiles, with other categories following in the working plan.

This playground is for exporters and product teams who need to prepare before the deadlines: pick your industry, list the documents and data you already have (test reports, declarations, material composition), and the tool identifies exactly which passport fields are covered and which are gaps. Large retailers are already requesting this data from suppliers ahead of the legal requirement — the playground shows you where you stand. Everything runs client-side: your product data never uploads.

How to use
